STANDALONE
The evosizer is available as standalone application for Windows and Mac OS. It uses the audio equipment connected to the system for its output and can also be integrated in modern sequencer systems using the embedded rewire support.
SOURCE CODE
All versions and designs of the evosizer are available for further development and/or modification as a full Max/MSP or Max For Live project.
THE CONCEPT
CONTROLLING YOUR MIDI STUFF
The more input levels per key and the greater the resolution of the data they provide, the less suitable the MIDI protocol becomes. Or should we say, the way MIDI can be used under such circumstances becomes more and more complex. But that doesn’t mean you can’t use your MIDI synthesizer with evo. Quite the opposite! You may even be able to do this in ways like never before. The most spectacular case for this can come from the pitch wheel emulation or transferring the finger position per MIDI-CC command. Our evo2midi tool helps you convert evo to MIDI.
VOICEMODE EXTENSION
When it comes to MIDI, we are talking about a complexity that has never been seen before. The evo2midi tool offers a special setting, the so-called VoiceMode. When using this option, the note data for each key that is played is transferred through its own MIDI channel. This allows every sound generator to make use of the advantages offered by the touch-sensitive key surface in combination with a modern sequencer.
